Kristin Marguerite Doidge is an author, journalist, speaker, therapist, and senior university lecturer with more than 15 years of experience in media. NORA EPHRON: A BIOGRAPHY, her debut nonfiction book based on her 2015 master’s thesis, was published in June 2022 by Chicago Review Press. The book became a bestseller in Southern California and received critical praise from Kirkus Reviews, Library Journal, Times Literary Supplement, Booklist, and others. Doidge is represented by Kara Rota, senior literary agent at Thompson Literary Agency in NYC.

Doidge’s writing on media, entertainment, social justice, and culture has been featured in the award-winning Los Angeles Business Journal, The Atlantic, Marie Claire, FORTUNE, xoJane, ATTN.com, Bustle, GOOD Magazine, Time Out, LA Review of Books and LA Review of Books’ Podcast Review, and NPR, among other top outlets.

She was a finalist for National Arts & Entertainment Journalism Awards and Southern California Press Club Awards in 2015 and in 2017, earned second prize honors for two of her feature stories.

As a publicist, she served a diverse range of clients, from media, artists, and authors such as Microsoft, HarperCollins, Eat|See|Hear, and Carole Bayer Sager, to tech companies such as Silicon Beach-based Caviar (prior to its acquisition by Square), and Arianna Huffington and Kobe Bryant-backed bLife, to Fortune 100 companies, such as Procter & Gamble.

Doidge holds a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in clinical psychology, emphasis in marriage and family therapy from Pepperdine University (2022), a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in specialized journalism (media/culture) from the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School of Journalism (2015), and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in communication from the University of California, San Diego. She teaches journalism/media studies and public relations courses at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, Calif.

A classically trained ballerina and former competitive gymnast, she’s now a devoted patron of the arts, and an active volunteer mentor with Step Up Women’s Network and USC Annenberg in her free time.
